I did a lot of research in finding the perfect bbq. I wanted the Big Green Egg but didnt like the price and the weight of that product. Those grills are very heavy. I have never owned a charcoal grill before. Switching from propane to charcoal has been a big adjustment. The grilling times and techniques are different for me and of course the setup time. After using this product several times I am finally getting the hang of grilling with charcoal or mesquite wood. The taste and texture of the meat is so much better than propane grills. If you are always in a hury and dont care about the quality of your food than buy a propane grill. If you have the time and want the best quality than buy this grill and experiment with different charcoals, woods etc. This grill is like a smoker and grill in one. I have found that the easist way to start the wood or charcoal is pour a little cooking oil on the wood. Light it and in 5-10 minutes you are good to go. I am so happy with this purchase. I love the storage bin, wheels, table, timer, one touch cleaning system and ignitor system. Setup was quick and easy. This unit is much cheaper than the big green egg and I cant see why I would be happier with that grill. I really cant think of anything that could be improved on this product. Do yourself a favor, splurge a little bit and buy this grill.
